Saltgate, Beccles
A new small commercial development sandwiched between the end of a Georgian market town terrace and a small cinema. The transparent structure has a narrow
4 metre frontage giving a strong vertical emphasis with the glass façade linking the two more solid brick-clad neighbours.

Careful detailing, with timber and steel for floors and main posts, provides an uncluttered, frameless and transparent façade.

The ground and first floors provide retail space with two residential floors above, giving the traditional living over the shop arrangement. Views from the living space at third floor level emphasise the connection between urban living and the Waveney river water meadows beyond.
