Affordable Flats, Bury St Edmunds
A three storey block of twelve social housing flats on the edge of a conservation area in central Bury St Edmunds for clients E2. Designed to meet the highest BREEAM Ecohomes standard the building is an exemplar of sustainable design – combining timber construction, low technology M+E services and plant life to create a beautiful low energy, ecological building. Full height and full length plant screens to all building elevations, supporting a comprehensive range of wall climbing plants at all levels, give a strong identity and aesthetic to the building.
