Timber is one hundred per cent sustainable, beautiful and from a managed woodland near you. It is a natural building material that will last many decades, sometimes centuries with the right choice of species, correct detailing, sensible construction and appropriate maintenance. It is the most commonly used and understood material there is on earth.
StudioMGM has a breadth of experience in designing, specifying and building with home-grown and imported softwoods and hardwoods. We have access to a comprehensive range of seasoned and unseasoned wood, encompassing all levels of durability. We work with sawn, planed and moulded timber both as a load-bearing material and in non load-bearing and decorative applications.
StudioMGM is closing the loop in the traditional use of timber in Eastern England. Timber building technology imported from Britain to America in the seventeenth century and developed over the next three hundred years is now returning to the UK. By combining American technologies with the latest thinking from Scandinavia and Australia we are able to produce highly innovative timber structures.
